How to use LFS news-server?

The BOOK says

How does one subscribe to news-servers in general? How can one read the news from "news.linuxfromscratch.org" in particular? What software is needed for this?

Sorry for misleading you. That was what a previous version of the BOOK said. It looks like now lfs server does not provide NNTP service.
