Unnecessary post content deleted. Sorry for the intrusion. I don't think I can contribute anything useful here. Good luck all.

No.

I don't do one-on-one sessions. Questions asked here at LQ should be viewable/searchable by others, this to (possibly) help them when they have similar/same problems.

I have, haven't seen a reaction on my last post (#18) as of yet.

That depends on your level of experience with both linux in general and lfs.

Your level seems to be low for both and that makes the learning curve steep and hard, errors are bound to be made and a few "starts from scratch" might be the result of that.

A few days (5?) seems a reasonable ballpark, assuming that this is not a copy/paste exercise. But the counter starts at 0 the moment you need to start-from-scratch.

With experience you can do all of LFS in a day.

Hi

No do not reuse any dirs created or made again. When you untar a dir is created only use it once as with the gcc-build dir only use once

No that is not correct
You should be in /mnt/lfs/sources

You should of created a dir in /mnt called lfs then all other dirs go inside lfs

Read here http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/.../mounting.html
