how to recognise partitions using lfslivecd


my sytsem,windows xp working properly on c: drive
d:drive for my personal data
- i am using lfs livecd as host system
-i am using lfs live cd-r2160

now i have 2 free partitions one 10gb(dedicated for lfs build),another one 1gb(lfs swap partition) [i made like this]

when i insert lfs livecd ,how to recognise this partiios means which is /dev/sda?
if i know the this sda?? ,i can mount easily i can procede further

fdisk -l will give you the partitions and file type and size.
