Hi,

Please provide the needed information......

LFS version: 6.6 ?
Chapter: 5.7. Glibc-2.11.1 ?
Did anything go wrong in the previous chapetrs/steps ?

Also: What are you using as host? The LFS liveCD or Slackware? If the latter is the case: Did you make it LFS compliant?

I would suggest using the LFS liveCD, this was created to be a perfect host for building LFS.

Hope this helps.

Thx for the quick reply druuna.
I'm using LFS version: 6.6.
Slackware 13.1 as the host.

If the latter is the case: Did you make it LFS compliant?
I donot know how to make it LFS compliant.

Yes it is Chapter: 5.7. Glibc-2.11.1.
I did not have any problems with the earlier chapters.

Thanx again

Hi,

That can be found in the LFS book (vii. Host System Requirements).

But like I stated before (and also in a previous thread of yours): Use the LFS liveCD.

Changing your (slackware) host isn't the way to go. You might need to up/downgrade certain packages and this will have an impact on your host (worst case: you will end up with a broken slackware). Do yourself a favor and don't walk that path....

Hope this helps.

Thanx again druuna,
I'll download the LFS live CD and start LFS again.
Thanx for your replies again.
