Glibc - make check errors not mentioned in the book

Hooray! It's my second post.

Well, I'm trying to build an LFS system. I'm now on chapter 6, glibc. But when I ran the test suite for glibc, I encountered some errors not mentioned in the book. Are these errors critical, or can I just ignore them?

LFS 7.2
Host - Debian 6.0.6-i386 running on VM (I'm using VirtualBox)
Host Reqs are all ok

Here's what I did:
Code:
root:/sources/glibc-build# make -k check 2>&1 | tee glibc-check-log
...(lines deleted)
make[1]: Target `check' not remade because of errors.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/sources/glibc-2.16.0'
make: *** [check] Error 2
root:/sources/glibc-build# grep Error glibc-check-log
make[2]: *** [/sources/glibc-build/malloc/tst-trim1.out] Error 1
make[1]: *** [malloc/tests] Error 2
make[2]: [/sources/glibc-build/posix/annexc.out] Error 1 (ignored)
make[2]: *** [/sources/glibc-build/nptl/tst-cond20.out] Error 1
make[2]: *** [/sources/glibc-build/nptl/tst-cond21.out] Error 1
make[1]: *** [nptl/tests] Error 2
make[2]: [/sources/glibc-build/conform/run-conformtest.out] Error 1 (ignored)
make: *** [check] Error 2

Have you tried running TIMEOUTFACTOR=16 make -k check 2>&1 | tee glibc-check-log to eliminate test timeouts being exceeded as mentioned in chapter 6.9? Also check the created log files for time-outs (if they are time outs, then you are probably safe to ignore them).

Experience tells me that these 2 can probably be ignored:
Code:
make[2]: *** [/sources/glibc-build/nptl/tst-cond20.out] Error 1
make[2]: *** [/sources/glibc-build/nptl/tst-cond21.out] Error 1
This one I'm not sure about:
Code:
make[2]: *** [/sources/glibc-build/malloc/tst-trim1.out] Error 1
If you decide to ignore them, you will probably find out if all still works in the next chapter (6.10. Adjusting the Toolchain).

Hello druuna, Thanks for the reply.

I'll try TIMEOUTFACTOR=16 make -k check 2>&1 | tee glibc-check-log. Maybe next week. Still got some other things to do/rush. I'll report the results as soon as I've tried it.

Hello druuna, I tried what you have suggested (well, it's also in the book ). And guess what? I only got 2 errors, posix/annexc and conform/run-conformtest. And these two are expected errors. Thanks for the help
