fail upon boot, loopback interface

Ive finished compiling LFS 6.1 and upon boot I get a fail in amongst all the green OKs.

It doesnt halt the boot, carries on as normal really but I want to ge rid of the fail.

It reads....

Code:

Bringing up the loop back interface
Cannot open netlink socket: function not implemented
Cannot create control socket: function not implemented  FAIL

Can someone help me resolve this please. I am right in thinking its something to do with how I compiled the kernel?

many thanks
rik

I would suspect that it has everything to do with how you configured the kernel, as in what features that you have added or left out. But, I've never used LFS so I don't know what specific features you might need to enable to make this work. You might want to look for features that aren't enabled that contain wording similar to what the error message said wasn't enabled.
