Errors when running Glibc-2.3.6 test suite (reference: LFS 6.2 chapter 6.9)

Does anyone know what these errors mean, or if I should just ignore them?

I have been building up a LFS system in my spare time. Everything has gone fine up until now. The problem is that I can't get 'make -k check' to run with glibc-2.3.6 without errors. For an idea of which part I am talking about, it's chapter 6.9 of the LFS 6.2 book.

I got it to configure and make just fine, it's just it won't get through the test suite without errors ('make -k check' part).

My host system, that I'm building it on, is Debian Sarge.

Here is a copy of the log I had it create during the run the test suite.

* Log was generated by 'grep Error glibc-check-log-1'. Can pull out more info out of the log since this is just a filtered version.

For extra measure, I also tried rebuilding glibc-2.3.6 and running it test suite from single user mode, but the test results were exactly the same (same exact error log). And of course, I did all of this from a chrooted environment set up how the book instructs.

On a side note, during the 'make -k check' phase, it would eventually get to a point to where it would just get stuck. It gave a message to the extent of 'unable to remake target'. My guess is that it got tripped up on creating one of the .out files. If I run it for a second pass, it will go on through till it's finished. Of course it will also skip over the tests it already got through in the first pass (i.e. message 'nothing to do' for the tests that already have .out files created).

Anyone have any ideas or understand the ramifications of the test suite? I've been googling on this for days. The only thing I could find relevent was a post, on one of the LFS mailing lists, from some guy who had the exact same sets of errors, but I couldn't find any replies to it

I got exactly the same. I can do "make install", but since the book says that the test is critical :-/.
