error while booting lfs 7.1


the following error occurs whie booting lfs

*mounting virtual file systems: /run /proc /sys /dev
[OK]
/etc/sysconfig/network: line 1: syntax error near unexpected token 'newline'
/etc/sysconfig/network: line 1: 'HOSTNAME=<lfs>'

*****
[FAIL]
FAILURE

You should not be reading this error message
It means that an unforeseen error took place in etc/rc.d/rcS.d/S08localnet,
which exited with a return value of 2.


Please provide help

Hostnames are only allowed to contain the letters a-z, the digits 0-9, the dot and the hyphen. So your problem may be caused by the fact that <lfs> is not a valid hostname.
