error compiling binutils


i got this error

Code:
configure: WARNING: you should use --build, --host, --target
configure: WARNING: invalid host type:  
checking build system type... config.sub: missing argument
Try `config.sub --help' for more information.
configure: error: /bin/sh ../binutils-2.18/config.sub   failed
what am i doing wrong whit?

CC="gcc -B/usr/bin/" ../binutils-2.18/configure \    --prefix=/tools --disable-nls --disable-werror

use --build=OS_UR_BUILDING_ON ex:GNU/Linux for x86 64bit,
use:-
uname -o
to know it..

@R03L - not sure what you're doing wrong here but you shouldn't have to supply the --build option to configure.
