enter chroot for blfs

I was planning on using my host to go through blfs but im a bit unsure to what commands I should use.

am I right in thinking I need to mount

/proc
/sys
/dev

and then
Code:

chroot "$LFS" /usr/bin/env -i \
    HOME=/root TERM="$TERM" PS1='\u:\w\$ ' \
    PATH=/bin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/usr/sbin \
    /bin/bash --login

Im just picking out bits from lfs chapter 6...
How do I mount /proc, /sys and /dev? Exactly as in http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/lfs/...06/kernfs.html ?

Also http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs...otscripts.html
has got me scratching my head... is this a *must* install or what?

Many Thanks
Rik :)

Yes it is a must have, unless you want to manually create scripts to add the applications to your blfs system.

Many Thanks for your reply.

It wasn't untill I was installing autofs I understood what was to be done with these new bootscripts.
