encription of text in vi editor
 

hi..
i 'd prob in seeing the file when i said vi /sbin/modinfo
why am i not able to view the script??

/sbin/modinfo is a binary file, not a script, so you'll only see binary data when you open it. Are you looking for the list of module aliases and settings? Have a look for /etc/modprobe.conf (or /etc/modules.conf) instead.
