Dumper.a: No such file or Directory

When trying to compile perl 5.8.8 in ch 5.25, it errors after make perl utilities:
cc: lib/auto/Dtat/Dumper/Dumper.a: No such file or directory.

The command it is trying to run is:
cc -o perl -Wl,-E perlmain.o lib/auto/DynaLoader/DynaLoader.a lib/auto/Dtat?dumper/Dumper.a lib/aut/Fcntl/Fcntl.a lib/auto/IO/IO.a lib/auto/POSIX/POSIX.a libperl.a 'cat ext.libs' -lnsl -ldl -lm -lcrypt -lutil -lc

some of this may be spelled incorrectly because I have to type it out

also, everything up to this point has worked flawlessly, and all of the tests for the various packages were successful.

Hi,

The data/Dumper part is part of Perl itself (one of the 4 static extensions), I doubt if the previous chapters have anything to do with this (although you did have some problems getting to this point).

Are you sure the patch is implemented correctly and the configure line was typed correctly? You mention that typo's could be made, but is this correct: Dtat (I see that twice in the above output), shouldn't that be Data?

Hope this helps.

Thats exactly how it is in the output. The only change is the ? after Dtat should be a /.

Went back and checked my configure, typo, it said Dtat, not data.
