Customizing a distribution to add my artwork and design for a brand new distribution

Hi,

My name is Chad A. Armel. I have Mandriva linux 2006 installed on a dual boot computer with XP. I have Mandriva almost completely customized so that you do not even know it is mandriva. I have customized it with a style that I have put together. I would like to know if anyone could tell me how I can customize a distribution and add my own logos, distribution name, etc. in all areas of the distribution from the initial boot until shutdown. After getting this customized, I can put my artwork and style into the look and feel of the gui. I also would like to know if anyone could direct me on taking what I have setup on my home computer and package it onto a couple CD's for installation.

If anyone could help direct me, I would really appreciate it.

I can be reached at caa718@yahoo.com

Thanks,

Chad A. Armel

You could start with:

www.slax.org

This may not be as custom as you would like, but it's a start. It's also very easy to do.

If you want to go for the ultimate customization, try here:

www.linux-live.org

Good Luck!

Creating a custom SLAX live CD, is the easiest, quickest way I can think of to make your own live CD. It just might not be as custom as you would like it.

The easiest method of creating your own SLAX CD can be found here:
