hi
i had installed slackware 10.2 with kernal 2.4.31
now i installed all the softwares given in the scratch install
but when i install mysql 4.0.27
it shows error in CPAN prompt while trying this command----------
locate -u
the error is---------------

cpan> install O/OY/OYAMA/Net-MySQL-0.08.tar.gz

When you're in the CPAN shell, you can't use ordinary shell commands. Type Ctrl-d to exit. (Although locate doesn't have a -u switch here, I don't know what you're trying to do. At least the installation of that Perl module seems to be alright.)
