what? You don't want to receive dns info via DHCP?

look into peerdns=no in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-ethxxx

this is the first time I used linux and the first time install linux(LFS). not familiar with domain name.

in windows I used Workgroup name. and I link to internet with automatically with DHCP, without configurate any IP address or domain name.
the IP address and DNS obtained automatically.

/etc/sysconfig/network-devices/ifconfig.eth0/ipv4
ONBOOT=yes
SERVICE=ipv4-static
IP=192.168.1.1
GATEWAY=192.168.1.2
PREFIX=24
BROADCAST=192.168.1.255
EOF

how am i supposed to fill the IP with and the broadcast?

and in /etc/resolv.conf filled DNS IP address ?

You install a DHCPCD client in BLFS then you can remove the eth0 script and only use the DHCP script.
I use this one http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs...ct/dhcpcd.html
