Chapter 5.24 Gettext-0.14.1, Stuck here!

Everything was going fine on the Linux from scratch installation until I tried configuring gettext. I issued the commands, ./configure --prefix=/tools --disable-libasprintf \ then i also type --disable-csharp. It starts to configure a whole bunch of things then it just freezes on "checking where .elc files should go... " I will paste my config list out here.

As you can see it does not continue any farther and just hangs here. I have tried starting over and seeing if there was a step i missed or incorrectly typed but it does not seem so. does anyone have an idea of why this might be happening?

kjordan 01-14-2005 12:19 AM

Hmm, I guess .elc files are emacs related, so might check for a flag that disables emacs checking.

Thanks for the advice.

I'll search see if i can locate the flag that would do that. Thanks for responding later on tonight i'll let everyone know how it goes and hopefully will help people who have a similar problem to this one.
