First of all, let me say “hello” to everybody as this is my first post, and thanks all for making this forum existing.
Now, if anyone has got an idea about that, your help would be much appreciated:
I try to reboot my pc with the lfs livecd. I got the lfs “splash screen”, giving me choice between boot or F1 for options. Then looks like my hardware gets identified as i see all the hda, hdb, hdc, hdd scrolling down and all seems ok (btw, yes i am a newbie;-). But after that nothing happen, lfs just don t get loaded. All i can do then is force my pc to reboot, remove the cd and load my original distro (fc6).
I've read on some forum that this kind of issue could be a kernel not up-to-date. So I've updated it with “yum update kernel”, still the same. I've downloaded the ubuntu livecd, and all is working fine with the ubuntu livecd, so I assume that my system has got enough memory...
I've been stuck for a while now, trying to find answer on different website. I just can't figure out what's wrong.
If anyone could help, would be great!!
