Building LFS for the first time, error in binutils make install


Trying to build my very first LFS and building the binutils.

Getting an error while doing the make (install)

cannot move `libopcodes.tmp' to `libopcodes.a': Operation not permitted

Can someone help me fix this?

for some further info, Host= Kubuntu 12.10 and I have met all the prerequesists!

did an earlier make but had to clean it due to errors in following the instructions

Hi

Have you checked the permissions of /$LFS/tools and sourcse dir
And binutiles should all be owned by lfs

all are owned (user) lfs

ok recheacked all the steps, made an error while making the sources dir. Is corrected now
