If you intend NOT to install polkit, you will need to manually edit the ConsoleKit.conf file to lock down the service. Failure to do so may be a huge SECURITY HOLE.

Okay, so what
exactly does that entail? I've googled consolekit.conf to death and found no explanation of what that XML
NONSENSE actually
means. Additionally, nothing explains what settings are dangerous, what side of the communication these things actually are on. i.e. Are these answers to a possible requesting service or are these requests supposed to be made of policykit. What/who/how is linked or represented by '<policy context="default">'
I'm really starting to miss Linux of the 1990's. Cause, ya know, files like /etc/fstab are self-explanatory. And may the fleas of a thousand camels infest the underpants of all the developers whom even consider the use of XML in a configuration file. The only idea worse that could be considered is using something called a "registry hive". Ugh.
