Binutils make error LFS 7.7

I'm in chapter 6.13.1 installing binutils. make tools=/usr fails with the following:

Code:
make[3]: Entering directory '/sources/binutils-build/bfd'
make[3]: Nothing to be done for 'info-am'.
make[3]: Leaving directory '/sources/binutils-build/bfd'
Makefile:1647: recipe for target 'info-recursive' failed
make[2]: *** [info-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory '/sources/binutils-build/bfd'
Makefile:2600: recipe for target 'all-bfd' failed
make[1]: *** [all-bfd] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory '/sources/binutils-build'
Makefile:832: recipe for target 'all' failed
make: *** [all] Error 2
There is also an error that makeinfo is missing but the config.log indicates it found it (system tool).
Everyting has been successful up to this point.

Do you have makeinfo program installed? Try running 'which makeinfo'. It would show the path if it is installed.

Since the make is producing Error 1 it is mostly harmless and you can ignore. But to get no error you definitely need to install the texinfo package which provides makeinfo.

At this point I am chroot(ed) into the new system. If I understand correctly I should not being seeing anything from the host. Texinfo gets installed later on in the chapter.

'which makeinfo' gives bash error which not found.

As previous post says texinfo is installed in the 5th chapter itself. Perhaps you forgot or avoided installing it. It's not good to deviate if you are new.

I will check. If it was left out it was not intentional.
