/bin/sh:texis.T: Permission denied

I am in Chp. 5 of LFS 5.1pre1 - I am using binutils 2.14 and gcc 3.3.2. I
was able to run configure on Glibc-2.3.3-20031202, but when I run make I am getting this error:

/bin/sh:texis.T: Permission denied

The username is "lfs" - I am logged in as "su - lfs" and I have
triple-checked my bash_profile settings. I read a hint at LFS.org that
suggested that the file "texis" should be deleted from the glibc build
directory. Is this true, or do I have another problem?

Make sure that lfs owns the glibc source directory --
chown -R lfs glibc-whatever/
