Alfs build problems

I'm trying to build Alfs for the first time everything goes well untill after the mke file is created then a error that says I must be logged in as root to build the system, I am signed in as root. I do su and then the password and then I try sudo su but neither works. I'm using Mandrivia 2009.1 My username is in the suders list in /etc/sudoers.

Hi,

I think you should use su - and not su.

su - gives you a full blown root account, su does not (only basic root stuff, no env etc. See man su for the details).

su - let me login but still the same thing is happening.I'm doing more research on the internet.

I'll just try the autobuild some other time, already started clfs now.
