5.19 E2fsprogs-1.41.3 chmod

5.19 E2fsprogs-1.41.3:
Code:
chmod -v u+w /tools/lib/{libblkid,libcom_err,libe2p,libext2fs,libss,libuuid}.a
command didn't work. The libs were present, and could be changed individually. Maybe some utility is required for this command that I don't have?

What do you mean it "didn't work?" Did you get an error message? You did read section 1.5 before you sought help, didn't you?

The error said that it couldn't find the files, although they were present. Going back, the command seems to work now. It definitely would not work at the time...I even tried the command from root, and then with only one file in case it had something to do with multilple files....still produced an error stating that the file did not exist.
