'-v' unrecognized with some commands when using 13.37 for linux from scratch 7.1

Hi
I'm using slackware 13.37 for lfs 7.1 n' wanted to ask why the (-v) option is not recognized as per the 7.1 reference for mount and mkdir (mkdir -v)

Thanks

Hi,

Most (99%) of the commands used up to and including chapter 5 are from your host (slackware in your case). Those should work (also look at: Alien Bob's answer in the other thread.).

What did you do and how did you do this?

Hi darth_danny,

I see this is marked as solved. Did you need to do anything special to solve your problem? This might be of interest to other users.

Hi,

With the "mkdir -pv $LFS" command, I went through different sites and books and I failed to find a command with a similar structure so just omitted the 'v' and left it as "mkdir -p $LFS" (same applied for my problems with the 'mkdir -v' command - ommited the '-v'). As for mount, failed to solve that till I restarted the lfs build.
