Hai LQ
I am using RHEL5 I made a partition which formated with vfat. My question is that how to give full permission to files reside vfat partition? I give 777 to all. But it is showing 644 even I give.

Microsoft's FAT filesystem does not allow individual file permissions. I use the option umask=000 in /etc/fstab (or with the command mount /dev/fatpart /mnt/whereto -o umask=000), so anyone can access it.
