You could not have phrased your complete and utter lack of competence (knowledge of GNU/Linux, general security issues, server administration, best practices) better.

hey Clay......wow try everything......if will let you think you are reprograming the eth1 = 1 but it just will not hold the 1 always goes back to zero which turn the nic card off.....man what a mess.

I am sorry, I do not understand what you are trying to say in the post above, are you saying that eth1 keeps disabling itself? You will have to make sure it is set to activate at boot time. Are you using the GUI, or going all command line?

good morning Clay, and thanks for your help........we have already call the FBI head quarters in Okla. City..... this guy was a piece of shit. if was doing so many things dishonest its unbelieve......I have talk to so many business people in Ada,,,,they all think damages of 1.5 million are due here.....but they also think he will go think federal prison, he's 20000.00 behind on his child support and does even have any rights to the kid......like I said this is one piece of shit....
we have a new web guy coming on board and we are going to a windows platform.....................
LET we warm all people...if you are ever in south eastern Oklahoma.....and ran into a guy that thinks he's an expert in linux and thinks he's a vampire STAY CLEAR..........
he's really just a piece of shit....and his actions will prove it...
I do want to thank all people who try to help..............NF

Good Luck, I would like to encourage you to not rule out opensource, Linux is truely an awesome and powerful OS.
