Virt-manager in RHEL5.1 has empty Shared Physical Device list

Despite having peth0 running, my virt-manager (virt-manager-0.4.0-3.el5) in RHEL5.1 (2.6.18-53.1.13.el5xen) continues to have an empty Shared Physical Device list. I have restarted /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge and xend, but still nothing.

Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar issue, what seems to fix it for me is:

rpm -Uvh --oldpackage ./dbus-1.0.0-6.el5.x86_64.rpm
rpm -Uvh --oldpackage ./dbus-devel-1.0.0-6.el5.x86_64.rpm
rpm -Uvh --oldpackage ./dbus-x11-1.0.0-6.el5.x86_64.rpm

where the rpms are off of CentOS 5.1 (64-bit) CD-ROMS

which will "rollback" dbus (there was a recent update)

see
http://www.linuxcompatible.org/CESA-...e_s107406.html

hope this helps, now I am off to tell ``yum update'' not to touch dbus

This may be an old thread, but this patch found in the CentOS bug report worked for me without having to downgrade dbus:
