testing for rpm broken-ness

I want commands that can test for rpms breakage. ie those rpms that is difficult to built because of library problems and in some cases during installation. for eg ldd -r <lib name> is one sol. i need some alternative sol. piped commands will also do.

the core issue is i need to get command or piped command to detect faulty lib in a package. like broken linkage, faulty lib and missing lib due to upgrading of rpm. this is for testing the updated and upgraded rpms
