Terminal Window in Linux
Hi,
I'm using Linux Red Hat Enterprise Edition. I dont know the version im using. A consultant has installed Oracle Financials 11.5.10.2 on it with Linux as OS. Now to work on the Oracle Financials ERP, I need to activate some settings in Linux. However, im unable to open the terminal. I tried through all the 3 ways namely : (a) Right Click mouse, New Terminal, Go to System tools, Terminal and entering text "gnome-terminal" in the Run Program window. As soon i do any of the above actions, the terminal window is displayed and it immediately disappears. Can anybody please help me in this regards Thanks Srikanth Rama |
any chance the hostname of the machine was changed while it was up and running? if so, gnome apps might fail when trying to initiate through X.
