it's been few days since the Novell's Suse Linux Enterprise (Desktop) is out and the reviews are mostly top until now. Is SLE 10 gonna bread the scenes? It could.
The closest to any Active Directory aware linux app is Samba-TNG which can do Windows 2000 InterDomain Trusts. Regular Samba can emulate and NT4 PDC. Beyond that, OpenLDAP is a Directory server implementation just as Active Directory is an LDAP implementation. SusE OES also has the Novell Directory services and other Novell technologies being implemented. There are nice white papers on Novell's site which explain their features in more detail
Never tried it. It contains some sort of Active Directory like Windows server?
Yup! It should be now just "easy" to manage server as with Microsoft server tools. I think this is a huge step forward. Ubuntu server edition is doing good too!
