RH Virtualization/KVM Help! Need the binaries for acquired product Qumranet Solid Ice

not a Redhat beta tester just an ordinary joe, I finally got the go ahead to carry out a proof of concept install for a banking customer for a 4000 box VDI type situation - I wanted Solid Ice to go in head to head with VMware. Unfortunately not helped by the delay and politics in the intervening timeframe we lost the trial install binaries for the Qumranet Solid Ice product as it was at the time (approx. Aug 08)

Does anyone have it on file that I could borrow or point me to a possible source/person or even an updated version in whatever Redhat pre-release monniker it currently is today? Can't find any people or download spots in the current vacuum that exists after the Qumranet buyout.

Frustrating as I know for sure in the given environment it will outperform VMware VDI by a mile!

thanks to anyone who can help,
martin

Did you ever get started on this?

Redhat is currently moving qemu. I would suggest trying fedora 10 because it seems to function the same way that you would in rhel 5 just for testing purposes.

Now I believe redhat 5 is not on qemu as of yet. I think that might be a RHEL 6 release.

The one thing you can do is set up a pxe , dhcp, dns, apache server. You can use cobbler but if you dont want to dive off into that just set up a pxe server without the bells and whistles.

Once that is setup and you have the right kernel installed that supports xen. Then from command line or gui start your install process.

If new to this I would suggest using the gui.
