RenderMan on Rocks 5.1 using SGE 6.2

In a nutshell:

I have access to a 1150 node cluster running ROCKS 5.1 and SGE 6.2u4. I also have the latest version of RenderMan Pro Server 15.0 and associated artists tools (Maya 2010, RFM 3.0 etc.)

I understand that there are people out there using SGE to task clusters to do rendering from a RenderMan Interface Bytestream (RIB) file, such as Rising Sun Pictures and DNA Productions, but there's a conspicuous lack of documentation and how-to's.

Does anyone know of any resources or has anyone done this kind of thing before?

It surprises me that there isn't more of this kind of thing going on.

Thanks for your help.

I'm curious, have you asked this question over at the Pixar Support Forums?

renderman.pixar.com
