Removing survivable cluster configuration

I have 2 redshat servers configured as a survivable system, where as if one server fails the other assumes its role, how ever, come to find out the configuration of these servers have to be changed back to individual machines due to errors on the newtwork. Has anybody had any problems breaking clusters or see any reason the cluster cannot be removed? I know that in a windows 2003 server inviroment(which doesnt really work anyways) you cannot remove the cluster once it is installed, but you can add to it or replace whats there. Is this the same for redhat? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Here is what I would suggest.

Take the mirror back up machine off-line and rebuild it to the new specifications. Test it to make sure that it is stable and secure.

Then reconnect the rebuilt server to take the place of the existing primary cluster server.

Then repeat the rebuilding process with the old primary cluster server.

This should allow you to proceed as you need to without causing any interruption of service.
