removing rpm in red hat linux 9.0

Hi,

I have used command rpm -e <package name>, it was hanged during removing rpm,

Now when i am trying to install that rpm it is giving me error package already exists,

when I am going to remove that rpm it is giving me error "no such file or direcotory"

Can anybody help me in this regards,

Try adding with rpm -Uvh

However, you should be using yum where possible.

Always install yum, to handle these kinda errors.

Have a look on yum configuration, it is not that difficult.

Do some research work for its configuration, contact me if any help needed.
