Red Hat Enterprise 3 AS Binds Config Different

I'm running Red Hat Enteprise Server 3 AS and trying to configure a Primary DNS server for my network.

The problem that I'm have is that the GUI does not match the online documetation on the Red Hat Site, when I create the configuraion files using the GUI it does not appear to place the files in the sub-directories laid out in the online documentation.

As result I don't think my Primary DNS server is working correctly even thou it does give back information.

Should I just create the files by hand and place them in the documented directories?

Thanks

Yes ... GUIs are for people who don't know how the system works and hiding how a system works from those who want to know.

If you want something done right, you've gotta do it yourself.

none of the gui's in RHEL are very good...in fact support will tell you to avoid using them. I know that sucks, but trust me, you'll know what they are getting after trying to figure out what the heck the GUI tools dis to your system.

stick with what works...edit /etc/named.conf and /var/named/ files by hand.
