I have my home folders of all my users in a raid 1 partition. I have been reading about encryption, and I plan to use dm-crypt to encrypt the home directories.
I appreciate that encryption is seperate from the filesystem and that it is possible to make my raid 1 partition encrypted.
My question is what happens when a drive breaks in the mirror. How will this affect the encryption?? I'm just imaging a situation where the data in the encrypted partition is not recoverable because it is looking for the second diskm in the partition!
