Quality of redhat support?

Hi Guys,

I'm getting very frustrated with RHEL AS3 at the moment.

For 5 days I've been trying to get it installed onto an
x346 with a ServerRAID 7k (RAID-1 with 2 UW320s)
for the OS and a SAN with 28 FC HDDs for the database.

It fails to utilise the OS Volume (the hardware is fine, Slack
10.1 and 10.2 installed and run just dandy), claiming there's
no such device even though it detects the card and trys to
load the ips driver.

What I really want to know: I've raised an issue with RH
support, and in 48 hours all they came up with is to ask
me whether the controller in question (the one with the two
UW320 drives) was a SATA or SCSI model. Anyone have
better experiences?

Cheers,
Tink

How unfortunate. I don't know why they have a good
reputation, then. :\

Cheers,
