Question ps/2 optical scroll mouse not working in ws4.0


I changed Redhat linuxWs 3.0 to Ws4.0.. After that my ps/2 optical scroll mouse not working.... The same mouse is working on other computers...


I tried with ps/2 wheel mouse working on ws4.0.. But the ps/2 optical mouse not working...

1.Anybody can help to solve this problem.
2.I tried by changing ps/2 scroll mouse in "setup" utility.

You can edit the file /etc/X11/xorg.conf (sometimes called XF86Config).
Find 'Section "InputDevice"'
I use this protocol
Option "Protocol" "IMPS/2"
and most important change to
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

You might also be able top use "6 7" if you have more buttons. Try what works for you.

Backup the file before you save your changes!
Then you need to restart X. Logout and press Ctr-Alt-Backspace.
