Oracle Enterprise Linux

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
I am currently running Oracle's Enterprise Linux 4.7 and using their Unbreakable Linux Network for updates. How do you update the version of Apache? I am used to Ubuntu and SUSE and how their repositories work but not this distribution. I have a network installation server I use for the Ubuntu and SUSE installs but where can I point or how can I point this distribution to it to pull files from and not prompt to enter a CD/DVD? I have the DVD image already on the installation server but am clueless on where to place this information. Any and all information is welcomed.

There is a technote on Oracle's support site (730639.1) concerning Unbreakable Linux Network, but it doesn't list Apache as one of the packages Oracle maintains. Given that Oracle Linux is just rebranded Red Hat, you might be able use the RPMs for Red Hat with it.

Given that OEL is essentially a re-brand of RHEL, the same tool (up2date) should work. Try these http://kbase.redhat.com/faq/docs/DOC-2531
