Thanks Bathory, one more query how to put restriction on the size of users mailbox while creating user in Linux, what can I do now for that users mail box which is utilizing heavy disk space?

manoj.linux, you have been registered here for EIGHT YEARS...at what point are you going to begin using the documentation and trying to research things on your own? This is a common theme, as seen here: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...nd-4175554806/
AGAIN, as you have been asked many times, you need to READ THE DOCUMENTATION and do your own research first. Try putting "how to configure mailbox quote in sendmail on linux" into Google...read the first few results. Amazingly, it's even mentioned in the sendmail documentation. Since you've been using that for seven years now, it's surprising you haven't read that yet.

You could enable quota
Since you're using Oracle Linux that is based on Redhat, you can take a look here for more info
..and you're VERY WELCOME for me pointing you to the documentation too. Kind of odd what you ignore and what you respond to. Can you not acknowledge what was told to you?
Also, bathory pointed you to DISK quotas...again, if you bothered to read documentation, you'd see you are able to set a limit on mailbox size (that is MAILBOX QUOTAS) in sendmail. Disk quotas are different...and after your eight years experience in sendmail, you should know this.
