Follow the instructions for installing the rpmforge-release package for you system here:

http://dag.wieers.com/rpm/FAQ.php#B

When done type something like: yum install fuse-ntfs-3g

Example /etc/fstab entry for mounting ntfs partition as read/write for all users;

Code:
/dev/sda1		/media/Windows		ntfs-3g auto,users,uid=0,gid=500,umask=000,rw	0 0

or the other way around, install Windows Services For Unix on you windows box:

http://technet.microsoft.com/fr-fr/i.../bb380242.aspx

then you can use NFS.

I would recommand that. Adding unofficial repo to you RHEL server isn't recommended (and RHEL 2 dosn't have yum). SFU on the other hand is supported by Microsoft.

I figured that since the OP mentioned kernel 2.6.8.18-el5 that rhel-2 was a typo and really meant RHEL5.

Dag's repo (rpmforge) is safe third party repo for the RHEL family and does enable/use yum even for RHEL2 (yum-1.0.3-0.1.el2.rf.noarch.rpm);
