Mail server compatible for linux and windows(Outlook)

Hello All,
I am using RHEL 3 and i am using squid,samba,nis server and all are running fine.
Now I want to configure mail server which should be compatible for linux and windows oultlook.
please guide me how can I setup mail server.
plz plz also send me the best link how to configure this
Plz guide me.

Something like Postfix with an IMAP server - dovecot ot Courier-IMAP for example.

I use Postfix with dovecot, plus amavis-new, spamassassin and clamav for spam and virus filtering.

Outlook can connect to IMAP servers, and you can use squirrelmail or similar for web access

Have a look at

www.postfix.org

and there you'll find plenty of howtos
