Question lpstat hang on redhat es 3.0

My linux redhat lpstat sometime will hang when i try sending a report to printing on network printing.

Im setup the network printer by LPD service on linux.all my report is sending from linux to another computer (windows xp ).
Im not direct print a report from linux because,i was intall the 3rd party software (RPM = Remote printing manager) to control my printing layout
from my computer. But sometime im wonder why when i trying to sending any report to my computer (which will auto find a printer for printing) ,my lpstat on my linux will hang and all my printer icon on my xwindow is gone,i must reboot my server to back to normal....

Who know how to enable back the lpstat service without to reboot server?

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.

FYI the Enterprise forum deals with questions about using Linux in businesses. This is not the most appropriate forum for questions about personal machines. Thanks!
