Welcome to LQ.
You do not need a special licence to use gnu/linux on servers, the GNU GPL is fine... you should go read it. For an enterprise situation, you may want to purchase a per-seat support contract though. If you want to run a proprietary server on top of a gnu/linux machine then you'll need to comply separately with the terms of it's license.

That's not true for Linux eg RHEL; its a per-server license (for support+updates), not per-seat.

OK - you may want to purchase a support contract: whichever kind you feel you need for your enterprise.
Note: it is always possible to purchase any kind of support contract you can negotiate. Just because you run RHEL servers does not mean you have to get all (or any) of your support from RH right?
