Smile kernel: spurious 8259A interrupt IRQ7


I am user IBM x series 225 server for squid . using two lan card , one in builtin and other in PCI card.
I find a system log message ''kernel: spurious 8259A interrupt IRQ7'' I am using Redhat Enterpriser linux 3 AS update5 .

Has anyone else have this problem, if so, how did you solve it?

I had the same problem once and to solve it permanently I had to recompile my kernel to add support for the parallel port.
A workaround was to add
Code:
append = "parport=0x378,7"
in my lilo.conf. I guess that is a similar option for grub if you use that boot loader.
