JVM Process getting killed sillently in Linux

Hi
Hi I am having a strange problem of JVM getting killed while running my program in Linux. During this time I an not getting any dumps or any messages other than the message <PID>Killed.

Once I ran the same program through strace I am getting the following message while getting killed

+++Killed by SIGKILL +++

We checked the top command during that time could see that the CPU idle time and IO wait and not alarming. Also it is showing enough swap space. Another strange thing is that the point of crash is not always in the same place of execution of the program.

The version of the linux is Redhat Linux AS 3.0 with Kernal 2.4.21.40. The following are some of the configurations I checked in /proc/sys/vm

oom-kill = 1
pagecache= 0 15 30
overcommit_memory= 0

Is there any way to find whech program is sending the SIGKILL signal.
