Lightbulb Installing mplayer


Hello every one,

I am fresher for installation of packages in linux.
I have a desktop, Redhat 9 (2.6.9-42 Elsmp) installed. For the last four days I have been trying to install mplayer and Xine. But I could not do much about. I have ried differant RPMS and also tried to compile and install source codes. Nothing is working for me.
Kindly help me in this regard

what distribution?

try VLC

I prefer it myself, and it runs WMVs

You can try to type yum install mplayer.
