[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hello All,

Could you someone please help me in installing Redhat 4.7, also known as Update 7. What are the prerequisites for this.

My machine is having Redhat 4.1, also known as Update 1.

How to go forward.. My requirement is to install 4.7

It would be great if someone suggest how to proceed..

Regards,
Saji

Put the first DVD into the drive and turn the machine on...

If you are installing RedHat, then surely you have an RHN subscription, in which case you have full documentation and support available to you. The release notes on the DVD will also contain all the information you need.

If you have a RHEL subscription, you should be able to upgrade your RHEL 4.1 simply by running up2date. With the Red Hat subscription you should also be able to access the ISO images from Red Hat's site directly, e.g. RHEL 4.6, RHEL 4.7, RHEL 4.8, or even RHEL 5.1 etc.
