How to Setup Kickstart on CDROM

I am new to Linux. We currently have a kickstart to install from our NFS server but somehow the new server would not able to see the network. I was told to build a kickstart on a CDROM. I got some help from RedHat and other source. The only problem I have right now is that after it boot from the CDROM and select the language and keyboard the next it ask if I want to install from Local CDROM or NFS. I selected Local CDROM and it get error message can not find RedHat Enterprise Media. I did alt-ctrl-F3 and the message said can not found device hda. I need help ASAP. Could someone tell me I need to do to get this read from the cdrom.

Why don't you put the kickstart file on a floppy then bootup with cdrom1 as if a normall insatall. At the boot prompt in CDrom1, access the kickstart floppy
with the command: linux ks=floppy

KS on CDROM

If you are using two sets of CD (one with Ks file and other with the OS ), then this does not work unless you have two CDDrives.
Else you can burn the KS File on all OS CD without damaging the OS files. and then you can use the boot command:
Linux ks=cdrom

I find that http is quicker and easier to maintain than nfs for kickstart. then you can have all your kickstart files in structured htttp directory. Put your cd in then type:
linux ks=http://<somewhere/kickstart/<kickstart_file>
I have also setup PXE for network installation which saves a hell of a lot of time.

HTTP Time out

Trying HTTP and FTP based network installation is good. But I have faced a lot of "time out" errors in between installation during FTP and HTTP time out on a slow network.
More over nfs has the ability to resume installation from where it has broken or stalled, even if NFS server has been rebooted.
Seems every one has it's plus and minus effects.
