how to add /tmp file system.

Hi,

I am facing disk space issue as /tmp is utilizing 5 GB disk space.

However I am having a partition of 10gb, I want to know how to create as /tmp partition and change the path from root to new disk?

You really should simply clean out the /tmp!

If it is a continuously running server you can google for several ways to remove stale stuff in there.

If it is a system that gets rebooted frequently simply clean it out just before shutdown or immediately after boot should be safe.

If you really want a separate /tmp partition, format the partition, mount and/or add it to your fstab.
